I am the product of a most Merciful Lord

I am a product of my mother and father, my 8 brothers and sisters, my grandmothers and grandfathers; I am a product of the gated house on 46th Ave SW that sheltered me and my unrealized dreams, the swing hanging from our evergreen tree, the prayer space downstairs in which I memorized Quran routinely and prayed alongside my grandmother, her gentle whispered prayers lulling me to an unmatched calm, I am the product of the streets of Laascanood that hosted the most formative year of my life, I am the summation of many beautiful brilliant experiences. I am the product of a most merciful Lord. 

alhamdulilah for another year-- I pray that I will grow to become more deserving of this time that Allah (swt) has given me
